Asterisk

Asterisk is more of a graphic tee than a type tee but I dig it either way. Available for $26 at Park Life.

Dutch Door Tree

01/31/2010 2:00

The Dutch Door Tree T-shirt is strictly for the ladies — sorry fellas. Most of the tees I post are available in unisex sizes; some are only in mens sizes. But this might be the very first one I’m posting that is only available in womens sizes (…for now, at least). I just really love this graphic by Dutch Door. You can grab this for $28 at Park Life. By the way, guys, if you wanted to get this for yourselves, I wouldn’t judge you for it. It’s an awesome print! I’m just saying.

Berm

01/21/2010 11:11

The image on this Berm T-shirt was created by Chris Ballantyne and originally used for an etching at Paulson Press. Our friends over at Park Life (wisely) put it on a T-shirt for our enjoyment! Grab yours for $26.

Tucker Nichols strikes again with this Branch T-shirt. His whimsical illustrations always seem to catch my fancy. This one is available for $28 from Park Life.

SF Garter Snake

08/24/2009 16:00

sfgartersnake

One of my favorite local spots, Park Life, started carrying this SF Garter Snake T-shirt a short while ago. Designed by Tucker Nichols, this tee is a tribute to “North America’s most beautiful serpent.” It’s an endangered species found only in the SF Bay Area and — as stated in the disclaimer on the product page — only vaguely resembles the snake in the print. I’m not sure it was intentional, but every time I look at this now, I see an “SF” in the body of the snake. I was already sold on it, but that just makes it all the better. Click through to Park Life’s website and learn more about the SF Garter Snake.

I Bike SF

02/23/2009 2:46

ibikesf

Biking around San Francisco is no easy task. In addition to watching out for traffic and powering up hills, you have to be weary of tracks in the road (especially on turns). Wearing the I Bike SF T-shirt by Park Life makes a bold statement. You’re telling the world that – not only do you bike around this beautiful city – you’ve had your fair share of spills and mishaps to prove it. You might recognize the graphic on this tee from signage around SF which serves as fair warning to the less experienced. Or you might recognize it from FAILblog.org – the site where users laugh about people’s failures and shortcomings. I pondered, for a moment, if people would interpret this tee as “I Fail SF” because of FAIL Blog’s increasing popularity. And then I remembered: failure leads to success. And if you’ve ever ridden a bike, then you’ve definitely fallen off one. Perhaps that’s what I like most about this tee: its duality (pride and humility).
