SF Committee of Vigilance
The San Francisco Committee of Vigilance T-shirt pays homage to the popular ad hoc organization that was formed in 1851 and revived in 1856. Its goal was to “rein in rampant crime and government corruption,” and it was “among the most successful organizations in the vigilante tradition of the American Old West.” I love the graphic…but its the history behind it that really fascinates me. The shirt doesn’t appear to be available for purchase just yet; when it is, you’ll be able to buy it for $30 from Gangs of San Francisco. This might be my favorite tee of theirs yet!
