Famicom! AKA Family Computer! If you don’t know what this is, the easiest way to describe it is this: the Asian NES (that’s Nintendo Entertainment System for all you non-gamers). I was strolling through Japantown today when I saw this T-shirt hanging on the rack in Kinokuniya and childhood memories came flooding back to me. I immediately connected with this… but even if you don’t (in which case, you’ve probably never played on the system,) the appeal to Nintendo fans is undeniable. The technical illustration on this tee seems accurate from what I can remember, but you can take a closer look at the Famicom and read more about it on Wikipedia; as always, you should take anything you read on Wikipedia with a grain of salt. Fortunately, for all of my wonderful readers, I found the T-shirt online: check out the Nintendo Famicom Family Computer T-shirt on GKWorld.com. The one downside to this tee is that it only comes in one size. That’s right: it’s one size fits all – in theory. The T-shirt I looked at today fits somewhere between a small and a medium, so I think it’s safe to assume that’s the way this one will fit.
