Musician / Band T-shirts are always significant in the sense that each tee bought (specifically with regards to underground or unsigned artists) directly benefits the musician / band it promotes. Often, if you love a musician or band, it almost doesn’t matter what the T-shirt looks like cause you’ll be buying one anyway. Fortunately, this T-shirt promotes an amazing artist worthy of your adoration AND looks good on its own. Big Phony, aka Bobby Choy, is a singer / songwriter born and raised in NYC that’s now living out in LA. This Big Phony “Bag” T-shirt is the quintessential Big Phony tee. Listen to his music and you’ll want to buy one. And even if you don’t listen to his music – in which case, you’re seriously missing out – the print on this T-shirt is one that I think everyone can appreciate. When it comes down to it, aren’t we all big phonies? I’m lucky enough to catch him perform later today at Cafe du Nord in San Francisco at Goh Nakamura’s Birthday Bash. If you can’t make it, buying a couple of albums and a T-shirt or two would be a suitable alternative.
